Our Programs

We're more than just a winter sports club, and you're more than just a family of skiers.

Together, we're the kind of people who see the value in a cohesive, mission driven culture, a positive and productive environment, and a common definition of growth, achievement, success, and fun.

No matter whether your athlete is four years old and just starting out or you're going into your 40th year skiing. We have a program for you.

Development team

Ages 4-9

The Development Team is a one-year, entry-level program, designed to help your young athlete become an independent and confident skier in varying terrain, over most of the mountain. Athletes are given the skills to successfully move to either Alpine Race Programming or Big Mountain Programming upon completion.

The program is a fun immersion into season-long skill development and programming. It serves as an introduction to more advanced terrain as is appropriate to challenge athletes to improve. D-Team athletes are also introduced to a ski racing environment.

  • The D Team has helped my children not only elevate their skiing abilities, but also their confidence and love for skiing. The coaches focus on developing skiers who can safely navigate the mountain and grow as athletes. I would trust no other program to help my children navigate this amazing sport!

    — Tiffany, member since 2022

  • Both of my kids started on the D-Team, and it is a great program to take their skiing to the next level. The coaches are wonderful, and will help the kids grow their abilities in a fun and safe environment.

Youth Ski League (YSL)

Ages 6-15

The 1-Day YSL program is an introduction to ski racing through the Youth Ski League race series. This group trains on Saturdays, split between Loveland Basin and its expansive terrain offerings, and Loveland Valley, home to Loveland Ski Club's dedicated race training venues. YSL races are typically scheduled on Sundays throughout the season.

The 1-Day YSL program is staffed by USSS certified LSC coaches with guidance from upper levels of the program, and done in accordance with LSC's overarching athlete development plan. Completing the 1-Day YSL program sets the athlete up for further steps in ski racing through increasing training days and increasing the level of competition at Age Class racing. At this level, athletes are introduced to Slalom and Giant Slalom.

  • Phenomenal coaches! They really helped my son go from just a skier to a racer.

    — Christina, member since 2022

  • My son really enjoyed his first year in YSL. They get a solid intro to racing and competitions, while still getting to explore Loveland for part of the day with their coach. I highly recommend!

  • We are so grateful for the Loveland Age Class coaches! Their dedication to our daughter's personal growth and development in the sport is just what she needed to build her confidence and love of skiing. Thanks to them she is truly 'Loveland Tough!' We are so happy with the Loveland Ski Club as a whole and look forward to next season!

    — Kate, member since 2017

  • LSC Age Class is the perfect program if your athlete is looking to take the next step in their competitive ski racing journey. They coach the whole athlete focusing on performance and mental resilience. This approach is only possible because of the coach to athlete ratio. Our daughter grew as an athlete, racer and person in this program. Our family found a supportive, and fun, ski community. The club fosters a positive culture and we believe this is the best program in the front range. Convenient as well right off I-70.
