Located at 10,800 feet in the Colorado Rockies, Loveland Ski Club (LSC) offers one of the longest and most consistent ski training seasons in the country, running from October through June. Position Overview
Loveland Ski Club is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Age Class (U10-U14) Weekend Coach to join our team on a seasonal, daily-rate basis. This role involves coaching young athletes aged 8-13 during weekend sessions, focusing on skill development, technique refinement, and fostering a love for alpine skiing.

Key Responsibilities

Athlete Coaching: Develop and implement training plans that cater to the U10-U14 age group's abilities and goals, emphasizing both fundamental skills and advanced techniques.

Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to athletes, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.

Competition Preparation: Assist athletes in preparing for and participating in local and regional competitions, including race-day coaching and strategy development.

Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches regarding progress, schedules, and expectations.

Safety Assurance: Ensure all training activities adhere to safety protocols, creating a secure environment for all participants.
Qualifications

Skiing Proficiency: Advanced skiing skills with a strong understanding of alpine racing techniques and tactics.

Certifications: Relevant coaching certifications (e.g., USSS) are preferred, or the ability to gain certification as a USSS Level 100 Alpine coach upon hire. Safesport, Heads Up Concussion Training, Background Check, First Aid and CPR Training are required for all coaching staff.

Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and motivational abilities, with a passion for working with young athletes.

Availability: Commitment to weekend sessions ((Friday 1-4pm, Saturday & Sunday 8am-4pm) throughout the ski season (November 1st - April 15th), with flexibility for occasional additional events or meetings.

Compensation
​
Daily DOE range is $155-$205. A typical work day is 7-9 hours.
