FIS Part-Time & Full-Time
The FIS program provides driven athletes with a world class environment focused on long term athletic development and high level competition. Training at Loveland’s exclusive, closed to the public venue alongside World Cup, Olympic, and top collegiate teams. Athletes have access to some of the best training opportunities in the country. Through individualized coaching, race planning, and performance support, coaches work closely with each athlete to pursue their goals, whether that includes NCAA skiing, National Team pathways, Olympic aspirations, or continued competitive development. Built around a strong team culture, the program emphasizes shared training, travel, accountability, and personal growth, helping athletes develop both on and off the mountain.

OUR FIS PROGRAM OFFERS EITHER:
FULL-TIME YEAR ROUND (Tuesdays Off)
PART-TIME (4 days a week) In addition to Saturday and Sunday training, part-time FIS athletes can choose two 1/2 days of the following: Monday morning, Wednesday afternoon, Thursday afternoon or Friday afternoon
FULL-TIME (Year Round)
Year round intensive programming, built for athletes pursuing elite competition, NCAA opportunities, national teams, and Olympic pathways.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
ON-SNOW TRAINING: Full-time FIS athletes participate in high volume, year round morning training designed to prepare athletes for elite competition and long term development. Athletes train across Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super G, and DH elements with a consistent weekly schedule, utilizing Loveland’s world-class training venue, varied terrain, and unparalleled access to early season and spring skiing. Focused coaching, tactical feedback, and ongoing video analysis help athletes refine technique, tactics, adaptability and race execution.
DRYLAND & ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT: Off snow training is structured to support high performance skiing through strength, agility, mobility, injury prevention, and recovery focused programming. Athletes are guided through professionally designed dryland sessions that promote durability, movement quality, and long term athletic progression throughout the entire year.
ATHLETE SUPPORT & HIGH PERFORMANCE PATHWAYS: The full-time FIS program is built for athletes pursuing NCAA skiing, national team opportunities, and Olympic pathways. Coaches work closely with athletes through individualized race planning, equipment support, academic flexibility, and mentorship throughout the collegiate recruitment and high level competition process. The program emphasizes accountability, independence, and personal growth both on and off the mountain.
PART-TIME (Nov-April)
Focused in-season programming designed for athletes balancing school and other commitments while continuing to
progress their skiing.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
ON SNOW TRAINING: In addition to training on both Saturday and Sunday, a part-time FIS athlete participates in two training sessions on either Monday morning, Wednesday afternoon, Thursday afternoon or Friday afternoon. The sessions focus on Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super G, and Downhill fundamentals. Training sessions are supported by dedicated coaching, video analysis, and individualized goal setting designed to help athletes continue progressing while balancing school and other commitments.
DRYLAND & ATHLETIC MAINTENANCE: Off snow training emphasizes strength, mobility, coordination, movement quality, and overall athletic maintenance to support continued development throughout the season. Sessions are designed to complement on-snow performance while promoting long term athletic health and durability.
ATHLETE CENTERED SUPPORT: The program provides individualized coaching and mentorship tailored specifically for high school athletes navigating competitive skiing, academics, and personal growth. Coaches work closely with athletes to create a supportive and motivating environment that encourages development both on and off the mountain.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EQUIPMENT FOR BOTH FULL AND PART-TIME: Athletes should have age and discipline appropriate race equipment. Please refer to their coach for equipment suggestions. Proper equipment care becomes important at this level, from strapping and protecting skis, to ensuring that skis are in proper condition and tuned for training and racing.
