Located at 10,800 feet in the Colorado Rockies, Loveland Ski Club (LSC) offers one of the longest and most consistent ski training seasons in the country, running from October through June. Our high-alpine setting provides athletes with early access to high-quality snow conditions, ensuring an unparalleled training experience.

Position Overview.
​
Assist in all aspects of lane training, race hosting, and maintaining training/racing venues from an operational perspective. Ensure safe training and racing venues through adequate protection with B-Net, etc. We also provide support for select events with on-hill components hosted by Loveland Ski Area.
Requirements: Previous ski racing or ski race venue experience is helpful. A willingness to learn is even more so. Must be able to carry 50 pounds on skis. Ski confidently on all terrain in all types of weather.
Essential Functions:

Help maintain various training venues throughout the year

Help maintain safe execution of homologation safety codes of various training venues

Ensure B-Net is properly set/maintained to ensure the safety of athletes

Help coaches as needed with course setting and maintenance

Assist in various capacities at races and other on hill events hosted by Loveland Ski Club and Loveland Ski Area

Must be responsible and on-time
Work Environment:

Long hours in the outdoors during all weather conditions

Irregular work schedule during on-snow training times with time off provisions in summer

Weekend and evening work required

Qualifications:

Experience:
-
Experience setting B-net and other venue safety requirements (Preferred)

Strong ski skills and ability to carry 50lbs on skis (REQUIRED)

Current USSS coach or official license, Safesport, Background Check, CPR, First Aid (REQUIRED)

Increased pay for those with current RMSRO certifications which add to our ability to staff home races

Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and motivational abilities, with a passion for working with guest teams, mountain operations and management, ski patrol and LSC leadership.

Availability: Commitment to part-time work (20-30 hours per week) throughout the ski season (Nov 1 - May 3), with flexibility for occasional additional events or meetings.

Note: This position is based in Loveland Valley (Loveland Ski Area), Colorado. Candidates should ensure they have reliable transportation and are prepared for high-altitude working conditions.
Compensation
Part-time (up to 20-30hrs/week)
Hourly Pay Range is $20-$23/hr. A typical work day is 8-10 hours. Early mornings are a must especially for Fall Lane Training, Races, and Events.
