Located at 10,800 feet in the Colorado Rockies, Loveland Ski Club (LSC) offers one of the longest and most consistent ski training seasons in the country, running from October through June. Our high-alpine setting provides athletes with early access to high-quality snow conditions, ensuring an unparalleled training experience.

Position Overview
Loveland Ski Club is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Ski League (YSL) & Development Team Coaches to join our team on a seasonal, daily-rate basis. This role involves coaching young athletes, ranging from beginners to intermediate skiers, focusing on foundational skill development, fostering a love for the sport, and promoting a fun and safe learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Instruction and Coaching: Develop and implement age-appropriate training sessions that emphasize fundamental skiing techniques, safety, and enjoyment.

Athlete Development: Monitor and assess athletes' progress, providing constructive feedback and individualized support to encourage continuous improvement.

Parental Communication: Maintain open and positive communication with parents, updating them on their child's progress, upcoming events, and any program changes.

Safety and Supervision: Ensure all activities adhere to safety guidelines, supervising athletes during training sessions and events to maintain a secure environment.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow coaches and program directors to align training objectives and share best practices.

Qualifications

Experience: Previous experience coaching or instructing young skiers is preferred, but a strong passion for working with children and skiing is essential.

Skiing Ability: Proficient skiing skills with a solid understanding of fundamental techniques and the ability to demonstrate them effectively.

Certifications: Relevant coaching certifications (e.g., USSS) are preferred, or the ability to gain certification as a USSS Level 100 Alpine coach upon hire. Safesport, Heads Up Concussion Training, Background Check, First Aid and CPR Training are required for all coaching staff.

Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate young athletes and communicate effectively with parents and staff.

Availability: Commitment to weekend sessions and occasional holidays throughout the ski season.

Compensation
​
Daily DOE range is $155-$185. A typical work day is 7-8 hours.
