longest and most consistent ski training seasons in the country, running from October through
June. Our high-alpine setting provides athletes with early access to high-quality snow conditions,

Position Overview
Loveland Ski Club is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Alpine Race Coach to join our
team on a seasonal, part time day rate basis. This role involves assisting FIS coaches with
athletes aged +15yrs during travel to away races, training sessions and home races, and fostering
a love for alpine skiing.
Key Responsibilities:

Athlete Travel Coaching:o Assist FIS Coaches in planning and coordinating race calendars, race travel and lodging.

Assist FIS Coaches in planning strength and conditioning dryland training programs and routing sessions for LSC FIS athletes.
Conduct FIS dryland sessions.

Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to athletes, promoting sportsmanship,teamwork, and personal growth. Serving as a role model to all LSC FIS athletes.

Competition Preparation: Assist athletes in preparing for and participating in local and regional competitions, including race-day coaching and strategy development.

Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches regarding progress, schedules, and expectations.

Safety Assurance: Ensure all training activities adhere to safety protocols, creating a secure environment for all participants. Creating a positive team atmosphere with a focus on team building and bonding.
In addition to the above duties, Employee shall perform all other job duties and
responsibilities reasonably assigned by FIS Coachs and LSC Executive Director to
promote the financial and cultural success of the Club.
Qualifications:

Experience: Previous coaching experience with alpine skiing programs, particularly with the FIS circuit.

Skiing Proficiency: Advanced skiing skills with a strong understanding of alpine racing techniques and tactics.

Certifications: Relevant coaching certifications (e.g., USSA) are required, or the ability to gain certification as a USSS Level 100 Alpine coach upon hire. Compliance with all aspects of USSA SafeSport Code and regulations.

Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and motivational abilities, with a passion for working with young athletes. Acting in a professional manner as a representative of LSC.

Availability: Commitment to home and travel training and racing sessions throughout the ski season (November 1st - April 15th), with flexibility for occasional additional events or meetings. Assisting LSC Competition & Venue Coordinator with preparation and tear down of training and competition venues (“All Hands On Deck” (AHOD) at the direction of the Executive Director)

Compensation
Daily DOE range is $155-$205. A typical work day is 7-9 hours.
